Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026. Please read these terms carefully before entering any Crown Raffles competition.

1. The promoter

Crown Raffles (“we”, “us”, “our”, the “Promoter”) operates prize competitions on this website (together with any successor or related pages we publish, the “Platform”). Each competition offers the chance to win the prize(s) described on the Platform for that competition (each a “Prize”).

General enquiries: crownraffless@gmail.com. We may update contact details on the Platform from time to time.

2. The competitions

2.0 Skill-based prize competitions. Our competitions are prize competitions that require the successful exercise of skill, knowledge or judgement to enter — they are not lotteries or games of chance. To enter any competition you must correctly answer the skill-based question presented at entry. Entries that do not include a correct answer are not valid and will not be included in the draw. No purchase is necessary — a free entry route is available (see section 4A below), and free entries have the same chance of winning as paid entries.

2.1 Each promotion on the Platform is a separate competition. Only the mechanics, price, stock of entries, closing time, Prize, and any cash alternative described on the relevant competition page apply to that competition.

2.2 We may run more than one competition at a time. Availability, ticket price, and inventory are as shown on the Platform and may change before you complete a purchase.

2.3 Each competition runs for the period shown on the Platform (“Promotion Period”). The competition ends when the Promotion Period ends as shown on our countdown/timer, or when all available entries are sold, whichever happens first, unless we state otherwise on the Platform.

2.4 We may shorten a Promotion Period for operational or legal reasons. If we do, we will announce it on the Platform and, where reasonably practicable, allow at least three clear days after that announcement before entries close (unless the competition has already sold out).

3. Eligibility

3.1 Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 or over who may lawfully enter from their country of residence and who may lawfully receive the Prize where they live.

3.2 Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members, and anyone professionally involved in running a specific competition, must not enter that competition.

3.3 By entering, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements, that your details are accurate, and that you accept these terms and any competition-specific rules on the Platform.

3.4 We may refuse or disqualify an entry if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or an entry is fraudulent, abusive, or contrary to the spirit of the competition.

3.5 These terms are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you cannot be deprived of mandatory rights under your local law.

4. How to enter

4.1 Account. You will need a registered account (for example via our sign-up process) to purchase entries and to manage your tickets, where we offer that functionality.

4.2 Online entry. Follow the on-screen steps to select a competition, choose the number of tickets you wish to buy, answer the skill-based question correctly, and pay using the payment methods we make available (for example card payment via our payment provider). Your entry is confirmed when we confirm your payment, receive your correct answer, and allocate your ticket(s) in line with our systems.

4.3 All paid entries are subject to stock, closing time, a correct answer to the skill question, and validation. If a competition sells out, no further entries will be accepted.

4.4 Except where we are required to refund you under these terms or applicable law, entries are final and ticket purchases are non-refundable (subject to your statutory rights).

4A. Free entry route (no purchase necessary)

4A.1 You can enter any competition free of charge by post. Free postal entries are treated equally with paid entries and have the same chance of being selected in the draw.

4A.2 To enter for free, send an unenclosed postcard (or a letter) by first or second class post to the promoter containing all of the following: (a) your full name; (b) your full postal address; (c) your email address; (d) your contact telephone number; (e) your date of birth (you must be 18 or over); (f) the name of the specific competition you wish to enter; and (g) your answer to a simple single-digit addition or subtraction question (for example, “What is 4 + 7?” or “What is 9 − 3?”).

4A.3 Postal address: Crown Raffles, [ADD YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS HERE]. Entries with an incorrect answer, or that are incomplete, illegible, or received after the competition’s closing time, are not valid.

4A.4 Limit of one free entry per person per competition per postcard/letter, and one free entry per person per day. Each free entry must be posted separately in its own envelope/postcard. Bulk or automated free entries, and entries sent by any method other than post, will not be accepted.

4A.5 Your free entry must be received by us before the competition’s closing time shown on the Platform. We are not responsible for entries delayed, lost, or damaged in the post. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

4A.6 By submitting a free entry you accept these terms in full, in the same way as a paid entrant.

5. Draws and winners

5.1 Only valid entries that include a correct answer to the skill-based question (whether entered online or via the free entry route) are eligible for the draw. From those valid entries, winners will be selected using a fair random process as described on the Platform (for example a live or recorded draw). We may verify the draw by appropriate means. If a technical failure materially affects a draw, we may re-run the draw or take other reasonable steps to select a winner, as we determine.

5.2 Unless we state otherwise on the Platform, there will be one main Prize winner per competition for the main advertised Prize. We will use the contact details you provided to notify winners. You must respond within the timeframe we specify. If we cannot contact a winner or verify eligibility within a reasonable period, we may disqualify that entry and select an alternate winner or dispose of the Prize as permitted by law.

5.3 Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and age (18+) before receiving a Prize. Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in forfeiture.

5.4 We may publish winners’ names and general location (for example town/county) on the Platform or social channels, unless you object where we give you the option to do so in line with applicable law.

6. Prizes

6.1 Prizes are as described on the Platform for each competition. Images are for illustration unless we state they are exact.

6.2 Where we offer a cash alternative to a Prize, the amount and conditions will be stated on the Platform. If no cash alternative is offered, the Prize is as described.

6.3 Prizes are non-transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any tax or personal costs arising from accepting a Prize are your responsibility unless we state otherwise.

6.4 Delivery of physical Prizes within Great Britain may be free unless we state otherwise. Delivery elsewhere may incur charges or be unavailable.

6.5 Prize payment (cash or bank transfer): Where a monetary Prize is paid, we may pay only into a bank account in the winner’s own name after identity and account verification. We will not pay into third-party accounts. We may withhold payment until verification is complete.

7. Cancellations and refunds

7.1 If we cancel a competition before entries close, we will refund eligible paid entries using the original payment method where possible, or offer a credit for a future competition if you prefer and we agree.

7.2 If we must cancel after entries have closed for reasons beyond our reasonable control, we will handle refunds or alternatives in line with applicable law and what we publish on the Platform at the time.

8. Liability

8.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8.2 Subject to 8.1, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the Platform or entry into a competition.

8.3 We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform. We are not liable for failures of third-party services (including payment providers, hosting, or internet connectivity).

9. Your account and conduct

9.1 You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must not share your account in a way that allows others to enter in your name.

9.2 You must not misuse the Platform, attempt to manipulate entries or draws, or use automated means to enter except where we expressly allow.

10. Data protection

We process personal data to run competitions, take payment, comply with the law, and communicate with you. How we use your data is set out in our Privacy Policy (when published on the Platform) and in checkout and account flows.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
